Ottmar Hörl
ARTIST OF THE GALLERY
OTTMAR HÖRL
In his art Ottmar Hörl deals with the aesthetics of everyday culture. Using only sculpture as a medium he defines his concept as an ‘organizational principal’. He discovers this principal by taking his sculptures and installing them in series on to the streets, where according to his experiences culture can be discussed more freely. In these surroundings his objects of everyday use can be standardised. In their placement these objects are observed from an artistic perspective, with Ottmar Hörl having transformed them into a piece of cultural and contemporary art.
