GALLERY WEEKEND BERLIN
OPENING: FRIDAY, APRIL 29, 2016 | 6 – 10 PM
SATURDAY AND SUNDAY, APRIL 30 AND MAY 1, 2016 | 11 AM – 7 PM
Active Non-human Terrain explores the social environment of the living, the object and the synthetic. The viewer is exposed to a critique of the future or the past with the intention of making us resist the present day through theirs and our terrain. Paul Virilio determined cyberspace, as our “living present”, noting it was “hardly more than a LIVING CINEMA”. Active Non-human Terrain creates a living mausoleum that has not yet been written in the history books it is universally controlled and allows us to resist our animal bodies favouring the mineral and cosmic over the conscious.
We aim for urban displacement and a cultural meditation. Join us on Gallery weekend for the ultimate remote control.
